Recruitment
Carnes Creek is always looking for new recruits. Applications are filled out in person at the fire station. Show up on Monday night at 6:30 pm, introduce yourself and ask for an application. All applications are voted on by members of the department, accepted applicants are expected to attend two training meetings consecutively, before receiving gear and a pager. You must meet the following requirements to be considered:

Have a High school diploma or GED

Be Above the age of 18

Live in an appropriate distance to the stations

Clean background check
After being accepted by a local fire department you will be a Probationary Firefighter. At the discretion of the chief and completion of the Volunteer Firefighter Class with Live Fire course, you will be recognized as a Volunteer Firefighter. The course targets those individuals who have the desire to become recognized and registered as volunteer firefighters in Georgia. The purpose is to meet the minimum training requirements as required by Georgia Law (O.C.G.A. Title 25) and Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council.
